2019 BMW 3 Series Exposed in Spy Photos
BMW, once the gold standard for small, sporty, sedans succeeded in its goal of making the segment better. Unfortunately, that means that everyone’s catching up and BMW has to do more to stand out.
That’s what the brand plans on doing with the G20 3 Series. Based on BMW’s new cluster architecture (CLAR), the 3 Series will have to be more aggressive while simultaneously offering more light to the occupants. Not an easy feat.
To do that, it looks like BMW will shift the proportions slightly, adding a little bit of muscle definition over the rear wheels and making the stance a little more menacing.
Grilles and lights, meanwhile, should follow the modern BMW trend of growing to be more predominant on the car.

Reports suggest that BMW is more interested in improving the details than the overall appearance, though. Better materials, fewer gimmicks, and more luxury are all allegedly on the menu for this 3 Series.
Car Magazine also reports that the next M3 will gain a 48-volt electric system in order to spool up turbos faster and eliminate turbo lag. The gains will also be sent to all four wheels, reports the magazine to make it launch as hard as its big sister, the M5.
Rumors suggest that we’ll finally see the veil come off the 3 Series in October when it debuts at the Paris auto show.
