A new teaser photo has given us our best look yet at the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.

The photo shows the new GT500 from above wearing a familiar blue and white color scheme. It’s vented hood, huge carbon fiber rear wing and deep front splitter are on clear display, giving us a good idea of how the next Shelby-badged Mustang will look.

A previous teaser image released by Ford revealed the GT500’s tall front grille and aerodynamically optimized front fascia.

Powering the new GT500 will likely be a supercharged version of Ford’s 5.2-liter V8, which should make over 700 hp. AutoGuide spy photographers recently caught a GT500 prototype on video, which sounded as though it had an automatic transmission. That doesn’t mean a manual won’t be offered, however.

We’re expecting Ford to debut the 2020 Shelby Mustang GT500 late this year before putting it on sale in Spring 2019.
