Electric Porsche Taycan Officially Previewed in New Video
Last week it was revealed the fully electric Porsche Mission E concept will be called the Porsche Taycan when it reaches production next year.
The Taycan will put the Tesla Model S in its sights, with the range-topping version making over 600 hp and boasting a range of over 310 miles on the generous NEDC scale. Porsche says the sedan will be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 3.5s and accelerate from 0-200 km/h in under 12s. Additionally, the German manufacturer promises the Taycan will be able to perform multiple hard acceleration runs in succession without experiencing a drop in power or performance.

An official teaser video for the Taycan was released today, giving us a glimpse of the first fully electric Porsche well ahead of its official debut. The video shows the Taycan will have a similar silhouette to the concept and will also feature a single rear light bar, which is quickly becoming a staple of Porsche vehicles.
The Taycan will enter production next year at Porsche’s Zuffenhausen factory, which has received extensive upgrades in order to accept the highly advanced four-door, including a new paint shop, new vehicle conveyors and a large engine shop expansion. In the meantime, you can get a bit more familiar with the Tesla fighter in the video embedded above.
