Additional details have been released about the new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.

The Aventador SVJ will be the ultimate iteration of the Aventador and likely one of the last Aventador variants before the mid-engine V12 model goes out of production. Lamborghini has hinted it broke the 6:47.25 production car lap record at the Nurburgring with the Aventador SVJ, and the latest teaser video for the car gives us some insight into how it’s managed this. In short, the Aventador SVJ is very light and very powerful.

The supercar is so light and so powerful, in fact, that it will boast the best power-to-weight ratio of any car on sale today, the automaker says. It’s expected to arrive with a 6.5-liter V12 making at least 750 hp and will be much lighter than the 3,472 lb Aventador S thanks to the use of carbon fiber and lightweight metals in its construction. This new teaser video also shows that it will be offered with super sticky Pirelli Trofeo R tires – key to setting a fast lap at the daunting Green Hell.

We’ll bring you all of the official details on the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ as soon as they become available. For now, you can get a bit more familiar with the supercar in the video embedded above.
