The warning chimes are a real highlight. more]]>

Lincoln has unveiled the latest in its lineup of new, fancier crossovers: the Corsair. Following the design language of the new Navigator and Nautilus, the Corsair fits handsomely into the new family.

“The all-new Corsair is distinctive enough to stand on its own, yet its sophisticated style, craftsmanship and sanctuary make it unmistakably Lincoln,” says Joy Falotico, president of Lincoln. “Corsair’s addition to the portfolio means Lincoln now has a full family of SUVs to exceed the needs of our luxury clients.”

Inside, too, Lincoln is catering to its clientele’s luxurious tastes. The Corsair will debut three new interior colors: Beyond Blue, Cashew, and Medium Slate. Whatever color the seats come in, they’ll be adjustable in 24 ways, which may be more adjustment than even I’m capable of.

But that’s standard premium crossover stuff, Lincoln really wanted to elevate its Corsair, so it hired the Detroit Symphony Orchestra to record its warning chimes for it. Not only does that mean that the chimes are exquisitely arranged, there are a bunch of them. So the reminder to put on your seatbelt will be distinct from the warning that a door is ajar and both will be symphonic and soothing.

The Corsair also offers 102.5 cubic feet of passenger volume, with 27.6 cu-ft of that dedicated to the trunk (and 57.6 cu-ft if you lower the rear seats).

The driver can make use of a 12.3-inch color cluster directly in front of them as well as a heads up display and a wireless charging pad. If you really want to, you can also, optionally, use your phone as the key.

Lincoln is offering the Corsair with a choice of two engines: a 250 hp 2.0-liter turbo four, or a 2.3-liter, 280 hp turbo four. Either way, power is delivered through an 8-speed automatic transmission.

A suite of safety features is also available with Lincoln Co-Pilot360. Lane-keeping, pre-collision, auto high beams, and blind spot are all included, as well as evasive steer assist, active park assist, and more with Co-Pilot360 Plus.

We were super lucky this year! more]]>
Another year has gone by and we’re flipping through our calendar with wistful, nostalgic memories of the cars gone by. We drove some real winners this year! Here are some of the coolest cars we drove this year:

2018 Lincoln Navigator Black Label

2018 Lincoln Navigator Black Label Review

We start this list off with a gorgeous SUV, and while some people write Lincoln off, Craig Cole reminds us that its newest, most expensive truck really seems worth the money.

“Comfortable, luxurious and even spacious in every row of seats, it offers luxury SUV buyers a lot. The muscular powertrain, abundance of features and near-silent running should make it a strong contender in its rarefied class,” he wrote.

He loved the comfy seats, the high-tech cabin, and the quiet, smooth ride.

“Even at basically six figures, the Navigator actually feels worth it, which is perhaps its most surprising attribute. When’s the last time you could say that about a Lincoln?” We’d have to flip back the calendar more than a few times to remember that.

2019 Aston Martin Vantage

Even though this Aston Martin is powered by an AMG V8 engine, Craig Cole made sure to point out (more than a few times) just how good the powerplant is and how wonderful it sounds. That’s just one aspect of the wild new “entry-level” Aston sports car. “With a special blend of style, sound, and strength, the new Vantage is a stand out option in its exotic segment,” he said.

And while the dashboard design takes some getting used to, it’s clear that the vehicle is sporty and capable in all the right ways.

2018 Audi R8 RWS

What happens when you separate Audi’s halo V10 supercar from the brand’s all-wheel-drive system? You get a whole new kind of fun. The speedy coupe hits highway speeds in under 4 seconds but is also lighter and more fun to drive.

“Considering it is cheaper, more exclusive, and just as much fun to drive, it’s probably the R8 you want — assuming you can get your hands on one before they’re all gone,” is what I said about the limited edition model back in March, and my sentiments still stand.

2019 Jaguar I-Pace

2019 Jaguar I-Pace

When an electric car does everything right, it’ll leave you pretty much speechless, which is why Craig had to resort to some colorful language when describing the Jaguar I-Pace: “Indeed, the I-Pace is many things, not the least of which is f***ing awesome,” is what he said back in June.

It’s practically a rolling concept car, featuring a 90 kWh battery that allows for an estimated 240 miles or 386 km of range. It also features an incredible pair of electric motors that make 394 horsepower and 512 lb-ft of torque, which allow this car to hit 60 MPH in just 4.5 seconds.

It costs $88,595 including $995 for delivery to get into one of these crazy EVs, leaving us to say, “With daring design and surprising dynamics, a roomy cabin, and livable range, the 2019 Jaguar I-Pace is the real deal.”

2018 Porsche 911 Carrera T

Porsche has always had a good sports car with the 911, but they managed to make something even more engaging and interesting to drive with the Carrera T. Bringing together the purists and the speed freaks, the 911 T is a blend of a few different offerings, but ends up being more enjoyable.

“On the pavement, the car feels nimble and fun and seems to break free of the buttoned-down, all-business persona that the flagship product often felt that it had. It feels more carefree,” is how we described it back in August. “It’s fast, but not the fastest 911, and it’s fun, but not the sharpest, stiffest and most uncomfortable 911. It’s this fantastic medium ground that brings joy to the driver in a way the purists will really appreciate.”

Simply put, this is the 911 car for true enthusiasts out there, and we couldn’t be happier that Porsche is offering it.

2020 Toyota Supra

The Toyota Supra is set to make its production debut at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show, but we got our hands on the vehicle for a day to see if the Japanese automaker is on the right track. Still, it’s hard to determine who or what this car is: Although it’ll be badged a Toyota, this car is built by BMW using hardware from the German automaker. As such, the new BMW Z4 will be very similar to this Supra.

Which means it should drive very well. We spent some time on the Jarama race track outside of Madrid to test the new Supra and spent a fun time caning it in the backcountry as well. The car was fast, responsive and featured loads of grip. While Toyota has been teasing this Supra for a while, our short time with it proved that the wait will be worth it.

2019 Aston Martin DB11 AMR

For all the times that a regular Aston Martin DB11 won’t cut it, the AMR is here. It features an amazing 5.2-liter V12 engine that makes 630 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque and manages to feel extremely confident and smooth even at terrifying speeds.

Craig said that it’s “Perfectly at home on winding back-country roads or blasting down the Autobahn on a cross-country drive,” and “this latest DB11 truly puts the GRAND in grand tourer.”

It certainly gets the nod from us, but at a price tag of 244,000, we’re wondering who would buy one of these Astons over the other exotics on this list.

2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster

Did someone say V12? Here’s one of the last naturally aspirated V12 engines in existence right now, found right in the middle of the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster. A truly exotic supercar featuring fancy doors, an insane engine, killer looks and tons of fancy materials, the Aventador S Roadster is hard to top on this list.

We summed it up: “It announces your arrival and departure with a 12-cylinder symphony, it turns ordinary people into raving car-paparazzi and it does this while going fast and keeping you involved in the process. This is a true supercar and a sign that they’ve never been better.”

2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera

11 Things to Know About the 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera

Let’s squeeze one more Aston Martin into this list because, well, I’m a James Bond fan and have spent all week watching the super-spy doing super-fly stuff. He typically does it in an Aston, but maybe nothing as eye-catching and head turning as this DBS Superleggera, which is pretty incredible, featuring over 700 ponies from its 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12.

Listen to this: the DBS Superleggera reaches 62 miles an hour (100 km/h) in just 3.4 seconds. It finds 100 miles an hour (161 km/h) in merely 6.4. Maximum velocity measures 211 mph (340 km/h). It passes with ease: going from 50 to 100 miles an hour in just 4.2 seconds.

“The 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is truly a Super Grand Tourer, providing more of what you love without any real compromises aside, perhaps, from cost,” Craig Cole said back in July. “But rarified cars like these are never about necessity, and for those that want one of the hottest production Aston Martins ever built, the DBS Superleggera fits the bill perfectly.”

2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder

If it wasn’t for the new Aventador SVJ, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante would be the hottest thing with a bull logo on it. We’re talking about a car that can do sub-7-minute times on the Nurburgring, and gets non-stop attention from everyone on the street. Using a clever active aerodynamics system, the car manages to feel planted and safe too, even when you’re reaching high speeds.

There’s even a lot of funky carbon composite materials found throughout the cabin, making this car feel less like a Frankenstein of go-fast parts, and more like a true exotic. Setting buyers back over $300,000, this is a car that’s far too special to ignore.

2018 McLaren 720S

2019 McLaren 720S-Chris Smart-01

Chris Smart/csmartfx.com

OK one more review to bring up, and that’s one from our fearless leader: Jodi Lai, who drove this McLaren 720S around town, feeling like the boss that she is. Who can deny this car’s performance credentials, with over 700 horsepower on tap from a twin-turbo V8 that’s mounted behind the driver’s seat? It’s not just a powerful car, but a powerful feeling that allows you to be comfortable in your own skin.

Jodi says it perfectly: “This dramatic McLaren 720S isn’t the car I dreamt about as a kid but driving it made me realize that I shouldn’t have to apologize for who I am and what I do for a living.” Heck yes.

A lot of significant new cars made their debut. more]]>

A broad diversity of products debuted at this year’s L.A. Auto Show, from pickup trucks and crossovers to small cars and luxury offerings.

But of all the vehicles that were unveiled, here are seven of the most significant, models that raise the bar for their brand, change the game in some way or otherwise knock our proverbial socks off.

2020 Hyundai Palisade

Replacing the Santa Fe XL is Hyundai’s new three-row Palisade crossover. With premium design, a spacious interior and an efficient drivetrain, it should be a more-than-worthy successor to the model it’s superseding. Power is provided by 3.8-liter Atkinson-cycle V6, the latest member of the automaker’s Lambda engine family. It delivers 291 horses, 262 pound-feet of torque and is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

2020 Mazda3

The all-new Mazda3 debuted in Los Angeles. This 2020 model is completely fresh from the ground up, riding on a new architecture, with updated powertrains and completely reworked styling. Offered in sedan and hatchback flavors, this versatile offering has a premium interior and lots of driver-assistant tech. Interestingly, the two models share no body panels in common, meaning the styling on each is totally unique. For the first time, AWD is also available.

2019 Honda Passport

Honda is reviving its long-retired Passport nameplate, applying it to a new off-road focused crossover. Essentially a truncated Pilot with a touch more ground clearance, it slots in between this model and the smaller CR-V. The Passport seats up to five people, which means there’s no third-row seat. Under the hood is a familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine that’s good for 280 horses and 262 pound-feet. It’s matched to a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is optional, and when so equipped it can tow up to 5,000 pounds (2,268 kg). Front-drive models can only drag 3,500 pounds (1,588 kg).

2020 Kia Soul

The Soul is perhaps Kia’s most important model, selling in huge volume every year and practically defining the segment it competes in. Keeping this breadbox on wheels competitive, the South Korean automaker just debuted the third-generation Soul, which is completely new. Maintaining its signature style, the 2020 Soul is slightly larger than its predecessor, offering more interior space. The vehicle gains an extra helping of technology and offers two engines, a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter unit or a 1.6-liter turbo that’s good for 201 horses. Looks like a winner to us!

2020 Porsche 911

2020 Porsche 911

Arguably the most exciting model unwrapped in L.A. this year is the new, eighth-generation Porsche 911. Completely overhauled (even if it doesn’t look it), this legendary sports car is wider and dressed in more sculptural styling than before. Upping the cool factor, eclectically operated door handles pop out when needed and the rear 911 badge is rendered in a retro font. As for performance, Carrera S and 4 S models will feature a turbocharged flat-six engine that’s rated at 443 horsepower. Thanks to a different fuel-injection process it should be more efficient than before. An eight-speed dual-clutch automatic will be the only transmission offered for the time being. When properly equipped (read: with optional all-wheel drive), the dash to 62 miles an hour (100 km/h) should take as little as 3.6 seconds.

2020 Lincoln Aviator

Likely pushing the Lincoln brand to new heights, the production version of the brand’s Aviator three-row luxury crossover took a bow in Los Angeles. Stylish and upscale, this revived nameplate looks like a more sensibly sized Navigator. Standard models feature a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine that’s rated at 400 horsepower and an equal measure of torque, however, Grand Touring models will come with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain that’s estimated to offer 50 extra ponies and a whopping 600 pound-feet of twist. Lincoln’s Co-Pilot360 suit of advanced driver aids is standard, while an available adaptive suspension system scans the road ahead, automatically reacting to surface imperfections to provide a smoother ride.

2020 Jeep Gladiator

But many would argue the coolest vehicle revealed at this year’s show is the new Jeep Gladiator. Essentially a Wrangler with an open-air bed, this midsize pickup should be every bit as versatile as it is capable off-road Competing with trucks like the Chevrolet Colorado and Toyota Tacoma, this anvil-tough Jeep promises best-in-class capability, able to haul up to 1,600 pounds (726 kg) in its cargo box and tow up to 7,650 pounds (3,470 kg). A 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 is standard, delivering 285 horses, but an EcoDiesel six-shooter will be offered at some point in 2020, offering up to 442 pound-feet of torque.

It looks like Lincoln is officially back to business making gorgeous luxury vehicles. more]]>
[See image gallery at www.autoguide.com]

The LA Auto Show is already off to a hot start with plenty of hard to forget reveals, but Lincoln is hoping to make a big splash among the debuts with the new Aviator, a luxury SUV that promises to be everything that Lincoln should be.

What does that mean exactly? Well, it means we are seeing Lincoln exclusive elements, things that distinguish this Aviator from its humble Ford roots. It should be able to provide a smooth ride no matter the circumstances, even if you’re in a hurry.

Here’s how: it features an air suspension system that not only lowers and raises easy entry and exit or cargo loading but will also raise when you are in rough road conditions like snow or mud. That system also integrates a forward-facing camera that can scan the road ahead and pre-adjust the suspension to handle things like bumps or potholes.

That’s really next-generation technology, but the powerplants on tap here are also quite impressive. The Aviator will come in two flavors. Normal models feature a 400-hp 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine, which also features 400 lb-ft of torque. This vehicle will come with rear-wheel drive, or an available all-wheel-drive system and power is managed through a ten-speed automatic transmission.

There will also be a Grand Touring model that turns things up a little bit. It matches the V6 engine with an electrified setup to enable 450 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. It’s unclear just how far the Aviator will be able to run on electric power alone, so more information should be trickling out in the future.

These powertrains can be customized in a way with Lincoln’s unique drive modes: Normal, Conserve, Excite, Slippery and Deep Conditions. The Grand Touring model gets two specific EV focused modes: Pure EV and Preserve EV.

Complete LA Auto Show Coverage

Adding to the wow factor, owners can use a phone as a key for the Aviator. It can not only lock and unlock the vehicle but can also start and drive the car. The Phone as Key system also remembers users seat, mirror, and steering column positions.

In addition to all this technology is Lincoln’s Co-Pilot360 safety suite. It features a traffic jam assist that combines adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and speed limit recognition to make driving in the city much less stressful. There’s also an evasive steer assist that will help the driver avoid a collision. There’s also a rear braking assist and active park assist to help when its time to park or leave a lot.

The Aviator stays true to the concept we saw a short while ago with elegant lines and a sharp design. This three-row crossover also has a pretty dramatic interior too. There are also a few special Black Label themes that help make the Aviator look and feel like a truly special place.

As usual, you can expect an incredibly customizable power seat, with 30 way adjustability as well as massage functions. There are also 28 speakers on offer through the Revel Ultima 3D Audio System. The cabin also features a number of handy storage areas, plenty of USB ports for charging and even a wireless charging try.

Unfortunately, no pricing or availability information has been shared as of yet, which is a shame because the automaker told us pretty much everything else about the car. Keep your eyes peeled right here for more Aviator and LA Auto Show updates.

Domestic brands stumble, including Tesla. more]]>
If you’re shopping for a new car, you may want to avoid some of these automakers.

Consumer Reports has released its annual Car Reliability Study, based on responses from over 500,000 members. The data collected from the survey helps let shoppers know which vehicles are likely to have issues with reliability, ranging from powertrain and drivetrain problems to pesky infotainment and climate control systems.

Each automaker is ranked based on its average reliability score, which is calculated based on the models in its lineup that received enough data from survey respondents.

SEE ALSO: Top 10 Most Reliable Automakers: Consumer Reports 2018

10. Lincoln

2017 lincoln mkz

Although Lincoln did move up two spots in this year’s survey, the brand continues to struggle and lands in the bottom 10 with four models taken into consideration. Its least reliable model is the MKZ, while the Continental is the automaker’s most reliable model. Lincoln received an average reliability score of 43, attributed to the Continental’s much better than average reliability. Both the MKC and MKX remain below average, while the MKZ sedan dropped to below average in this year’s study.

8. Dodge

2019 dodge journey

Dodge may have been one of the best brands from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), but it’s still one of the least reliable automakers overall. It scored an average reliability of 40, with five models as part of the survey this year. It did, however, move up three spots compared to last year. Dodge’s least reliable model in this year’s study is the Journey, while its most reliable is the Charger. Reliability of the Charger improved to better than average, while the Grand Caravan was average. Challenger owners reported issues with their transmission, and both the Durango and Journey models had multiple problem areas. As a result, the Challenger, Durango, and Journey all have below average reliability.

8. Jeep

2019 jeep compass

Jeep ties Dodge with the same average reliability score of 40, but only had four models that had enough reliability data. The American automaker drops two spots compared to last year’s ranking, with the Compass being its least reliable model. If you’re shopping for a Jeep and want something reliable, take a closer look at the compact Renegade. Overall, Jeep had mixed results in this year’s survey, with both the Grand Cherokee and Renegade models improving to average. The Cherokee and Compass, meanwhile, both had below average reliability.

7. Chevrolet

2019 chevrolet traverse

With 16 models supplying enough reliability data, Chevrolet owners had a lot to say about their vehicles. The American automaker finished with an average reliability score of 39, dropping five spots compared to last year. The brand’s most reliable model is the Impala, while the least reliable is the Traverse. According to Consumer Reports, the redesigned Traverse had much worse than average reliability, with the same transmission problems as the Enclave being a major issue. Owners also complained about the infotainment display freezing or staying blank. The redesigned 2018 Equinox did receive an average reliability rating, while the Suburban and Tahoe models improved to average or better. The Chevrolet Bolt remained average.

6. Chrysler

2019 chrysler pacifica

Putting the “C” in “FCA” is the Chrysler brand, dropping seven spots this year with just two models rated. The Chrysler Pacifica’s reliability fell to below average, making it the least reliable model of the two. Meanwhile, the 300’s reliability improved to average, contributing to Chrysler’s average reliability score of 38. Major issues reported by Chrysler owners included a frozen or blank display screen, navigation, and radio problems. Transmission problems included the transmission’s computer.

5. GMC

2019 gmc sierra 2500hd

Although GMC went up one spot compared to last year, the brand continues to struggle compared to other automakers. With an average reliability score of 37, GMC had eight models contributing to its ranking in this year’s study. The Sierra 2500 HD is the brand’s least reliable model, while the Yukon is its most reliable model. Three models in total had average or better reliability: the Terrain, Yukon, and Yukon XL. The GMC Acadia however, was worse than average plagued by infotainment and power equipment issues.

4. Ram

2018 ram 3500

With three models supplying enough reliability data, the Ram 3500 struggled and is the least reliable model from the American automaker. The 2500 was its most reliable, but with an average reliability score of 34, it may not mean much. Ram dropped one spot in this year’s survey, with both the previous-generation 1500 and 2500 having average reliability, while the 3500 was below average.

2. Tesla

2018 tesla model x

Tesla struggled a bit in this year’s survey, dropping six spots and tying with an average reliability score of 32. The Model S dropped to a below average rating, caused by suspension problems and other issues, including the extending door handle. The new Model 3 received an average reliability rating, while the Model X stayed much worse than average. Model X owners are having issues with the Falcon doors and center display screen.

2. Cadillac

2018 cadillac ats

Also earning an average reliability score of 32 is Cadillac, with the ATS being its least reliable model and the XTS being the brand’s most reliable. The American automaker drops one spot this year, with six models being accounted for in the study. Only the XTS sedan received a better than average reliability rating, with the rest of the models staying below average. Issues reported by CT6 and Escalade owners include rough shifting, while other models had issues with their in-car electronics.

1. Volvo

2018 volvo s90

It may come as a surprise to some, but the least reliable automaker in this year’s study is Volvo. Dropping six spots compared to last year, three models contributed to an average reliability score of 22. The least reliable model from the Swedish-Chinese automaker was the S90, while the XC60XC60 is the most reliable. Owners complained about the XC60 suffering from display screen freezes, issues with the climate system, and interior cabin rattles. The XC90 also received complaints about its infotainment system, mainly screen freezes and a blank display. Along with those problems, the S90 also received complaints about engine knocking or pinging.

A must for any luxury brand, in our opinion. more]]>
Lincoln is looking to open more standalone dealerships that are separate from existing Ford storefronts.

The American luxury brand thinks its latest products, such as the 2018 Navigator and 2019 Nautilus, along with the upcoming new Aviator, are strong enough to be sold in high-end, standalone storefronts. Luxurious products also demand to be sold in a dedicated, high-end space, Robert Parker, Lincoln’s marketing, sales and service director, told Automotive News in a recent interview.

“Customers expect the environment to be equal to the product,” Parker said. “They want to buy a luxury product in a luxury environment.”

In order to get the ball rolling on these standalone dealerships, Lincoln will provide cash incentives to dealers for each vehicle they sell in their new standalone Lincoln store, AN reports. It will also help its dealers find land for the stores, which are to be constructed in the 30 largest markets for luxury vehicles in the U.S. It currently has about 150 dealers in the 30 markets, half of which have already built standalone Lincoln stores on their own.

Lincoln expects most of the eligible dealerships to go ahead with the standalone storefronts, but will speak to its dealer network about the plan at its dealer conference later this year. Lincoln hopes to have the majority of the storefronts built by 2021. Dealers won’t have to build a separate service bay at the dealers if they don’t want and will still be allowed to direct Lincoln customers to their Ford dealership to have their vehicle serviced.

The automaker is also introducing a new storefront design for these stores that take after its new Chinese showrooms. These well-lit showrooms will be fancier than existing Lincoln stores and will also have dedicated rooms with couches and TVs where customers can speak to sales representatives in a warmer environment. Vehicles will also be displayed on a so-called ‘runway’ with lights affixed to the ground illuminating the vehicles, an example of which can be seen in the photo above.

Lincoln says dealers who have already opened a new storefront away from their Ford dealership have already seen an uptick in sales. The automaker hopes this move, along with its stronger new products, will continue the upward sales trajectory it’s experienced in recent years.

The replacement for the MKC. more]]>
[See image gallery at www.autoguide.com]
The Lincoln Corsair crossover has been spied testing in hybrid guise ahead of its 2020 arrival.

Development of the Corsair, which will replace the compact MKC in Lincoln’s lineup, has been accelerated following Ford’s decision to kill off most of its sedans to focus on SUVs, crossovers and trucks. The vehicle was originally going to arrive for 2021, but is now rumored to land sometime in 2020.

The prototype pictured here is heavily camouflaged, but it’s still possible to see the Lincoln Aviator-inspired design through the funky-looking vinyl wrap. To our eye, the Corsair looks a bit wider and more upright than the slightly bulbous MKC, giving it a tougher overall look.

It’s too early to say what engine options could be in store for the Corsair, but we’re expecting Ford’s 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo to serve as the mass market engine. A plug-in hybrid model will also be on the cards, but it’s not yet clear if it will be available from launch.

Stay tuned for more information on the 2020 Lincoln Corsair as it becomes available.

The Corsair will arrive in 2020 as a 2021 model year vehicle. more]]>
The Lincoln MKC will be redesigned for the 2020 model year, at which point the American automaker will rename the vehicle Corsair.

According to a new report from Automotive News, the Corsair crossover, a redesigned version of the MKC, was shown to Ford dealers at a meeting in Orlando in May. The automaker has decided to ditch the confusing ‘MK’ nomenclature that is currently used to denote its vehicles in favor of travel-themed nameplates such as Navigator, Aviator and Nautilus. The Corsair name, which refers to a pirate or sailor of French descent, is in line with this naming convention – although AN’s sources said Lincoln could decide to change the name before it goes into production in 2020 as a 2021 model year vehicle.

SEE ALSO: Lincoln’s MKC Successor Spied Testing for the First Time

Ford trademarked ‘Corsair’ with United States Patent and Trademark Office last summer, as Ford Authority reports, lending some credence to this rumor. A heavily camouflaged, MKC-sized Lincoln crossover was also spied late last month, providing further proof the automaker is working on an all-new compact crossover that will soon replace the MKC, which was introduced for the 2015 model year.

Lincoln will allegedly introduce an updated 2019 MKC sometime this year before the renamed, next-generation version arrives in 2020. The updated vehicle will feature the latest in Lincoln’s in-car technology and will also feature a new mesh grille design, AN reports.
