With plans to introduce a new entry-level sports car, the next-generation Porsche Boxster will move up in size, following the likes of the BMW Z4. According to a report by Automobile, the next Boxster will grow by up to 2.5-inches between the wheels while overall length will expand by roughly 1.5-inches, improving ride quality and interior space. The architecture won’t be an adaptation of the current platform but an all new setup. The surprise, however, is that unlike the Z4’s significant weight gain, the Boxster will shed pounds, dropping roughly 35 lbs to just over 2,900 lbs.
