Toyota Unveils New Framework for Vehicle Development
Toyota has officially announced its new framework called Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) which the Japanese automaker will use to develop multiple models simultaneously in order to boost the quantity of common parts used across its vehicles.

Volkswagen, for example, unveiled earlier this year its MQB architecture which will be adapted for a huge range of different vehicles. Toyota hopes that the new framework will reduce costs by at least 30 percent by using more shared parts.
