The choices available to folks signed up with Autonomy, are about to get a whole lot more diverse.

Self-driving cars will require greater connectivity, computing power and overall capability than what’s available in today’s vehicles. But they might need even more than that: trust. 

The Volkswagen I.D. Vizzion concept is a completely autonomous pod on wheels that’ll be formally unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

ProPILOT Assist is Nissan’s next-generation adaptive cruise-control system. Intended to reduce driver fatigue on highway trips, it’s an important next step on the road to self-driving cars.

For the last five years Google has been hard at work developing self-driving cars. The technology company has made enormous strides over the last half a decade but there’s still a lot more to do.

Arguably autonomous cars are the next major hurdle facing both automakers and supplier companies. It seems like the entire industry is working on self-driving vehicles, including Volvo.

A report out of Europe claims that BMW and General Motors are collaborating on a system that will scan road signs, including speed limit warnings and relay the information to drivers. The system still has a few kinks being worked out, but the objective is for the system to be able to display warning signs as well as speed limits for any road the car is being driven on.
