Fiat 500 'Immigrants' Commercial Sacrificed 6 Cars
Fiat’s latest commercial, “Immigrants,” gives a cinematic portrayal of the 500 making its journey from Italy to the U.S., but as anyone who watched it will know, several cars were apparently sacrificed in the process.
Buick LaCrosse Commercial Stars Shaq – Video
Now that the legendary Shaquille O’Neal has retired from playing NBA basketball, the giant has become a natural fit for television commercials. His latest endorsement — the Buick LaCrosse which shows it has plenty of room even for a giant like Shaq.
The commercial, titled the “Oh Effect”, was shot in Pasadena, Calif. and has Shaq and his 325-lb frame highlighting what very few might know about the Buick LaCrosse. Features of the vehicle include its 36-mpg highway fuel economy courtesy of eAssist, a “light electrification” system which utilizes a lithium-ion battery system and electric motor-generator to enable regenerative braking capability and of course, its roominess.
As Shaq says in the commercial, he enjoys the Buick LaCrosse because he hes “shoes that are bigger than a hybrid…and are more stylish.”
The ad was directed by the infamous Erich Joiner whose past creations include the “Got Milk?” campaign. The Buick LaCrosse commercials starring Shaq will air during the NCAA Final Four tournament.

Infiniti M35h: Behind the Scenes Video of the World's Fastest Hybrid
Late last month, Infiniti released a video showing off what was crowned the World’s Fastest Full Hybrid, the M35h. In that video, Infiniti pitted the M35h against the Porsche Panamera Hybrid in order to show off its acceleration skills.
Even though the clip that was released back in January was barely over a minute and a half long, it’s amazing all the preparation work, setup, and equipment that was involved in filming what seems to be a fairly simple video. Infiniti has now released a behind-the-scenes clip showing off just what it took to make the video of a Guiness World Records setting car.
The Infiniti M35h hits 100-mph in 11.54 seconds and can run the quarter mile in 13.41 seconds.
And yes, that is a Mercedes-Benz ML carrying the gear. It’s pretty common to see outside advertising agencies that film these ads to use camouflaged MLs to carry the gear. There was one that was used at the Scion FR-S commercial too, that was recently shot in Northern California.
