Bentley isn’t going to let Ferrari, McLaren and Lamborghini have all the fun in North America.

Bentley is known for opulent luxury, but with the brand returning to the race track this year, some of that go-fast attitude is set to transfer into its road cars. 

Team M-Sport Bentley has kicked off its 2014 racing campaign in Monza, Italy with a modest start.

In Bentley‘s return to racing at the Gulf 12 Hours of Abu Dhabi, the British automaker’s Continental GT3 finished in a respectable fourth place.

Bentley has named the three drivers that will be behind the wheel when the British automaker returns to racing.

Much in the same way that Ferrari has its Challenge series and Lamborghini offers the Super Trofeo events, Bentley is looking to launch an exclusive racing program on the heels of the debut of its Continental GT3 race car.

“It would be a logical thing to do,” says Bentley Marketing boss Kevin Rose when asked about the likelihood of street going version of the Continental GT3 race car.

Introduced at the recent 2012 Paris Motor Show, the new Bentley Continental GT3 concept has now made its video debut, and is being readied for Bentley’s return to motorsports.
