Alan Mulally, president and CEO of Ford Motor Company is set to retire. The influential executive will step down from his post in just two months.

Targeting European buyers that want even more than what’s offered by today’s range-topping Fords, the Blue Oval will reveal a new sub-brand at next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

But the payoffs ended 5 years ago, among with many other perks. Eventually, the only thing that dealers could reward themselves with were employee discounts—of which dealer employees already received in the first place. Customers didn’t know or care about the program, and neither did the dealers themselves, many of whom had stopped spending money on staying certified.

Making a momentous occasion much more special (and a bit more costly), purchasers of the hotly anticipated 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 can also shell out the cash for a custom print of the car they just bought.
