Considering the depth of the AMG portfolio, it’s not ridiculous to assume that it may begin to expand its Black Series sub-brand – but Mercedes-Benz has no such plans. 

When the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series was first announced, we considered it one of the best sports cars to ever be released. 

The vast majority of us will never get to experience a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series up close and personal, so the German luxury automaker decided to take the liberty of creating an app for fans to enjoy some media on their Apple devices.

To best showcase the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe Mercedes-Benz has produced two videos with contrasting drivers and vehicles, both filmed on track at Laguna Seca Raceway in Northern California.

Known for its infamous corkscrew, Laguna Seca Raceway can easily be recognized by automotive enthusiasts worldwide. What’s entertaining to watch in the two videos however is how tame the driver in the white C63 Black Series takes it on the vehicle (at least in the beginning of the video) while the driver in the Fire Opal (red) C63 gets it sideways and shows off what it can really do.

So there you have it – whichever way you may want to take the 6.3L V8, 510-hp and 457 lb-ft of torque Coupe out for a spin, you can. Mercedes did it out on the track, showing off the versatility of their C63 AMG Black Series Coupe.

You’re in luck, with Mercedes announcing the C63 AMG Black Series will also be available in a new Solar Beam color choice, which looks to be a brilliant pearlescent shade of yellow.

Having just unveiled the new C63 AMG Coupe at the New York Auto Show, Mercedes has one more high-performance C-Class up its sleeve. Likely to debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show this fall, the Black Series version of the car will be even more extreme, upping horsepower north of the 500 mark.

As previously rumored, Mercedes will bring to market an ultra high-performance version of it’s upcoming C-Class Coupe, which is expected to debut at the Detroit Auto Show this January.
