Unveiled for the first time in all its widebody glory at the Frankfurt Auto Show this week, the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series Coupe is undeniably a car on steroids. Transformed on every level the car is 3-inches wider overall, with flared fenders and a wider track. Plus, it gains an upgraded AMG brake package and suspension setup, light weight wheels, some racing style seats and can even be ordered with an optional aerodynamics package (shown here). On top of all this, the Black Series model comes fitted with the same engine as found in the Mercedes SLS.

Ahead of its planned debut, a selection of photos of the Mercedes C63 AMG Black Series have hit the net, along with some very juicy info. The hardest-core Black Series version will reportedly weigh 44 lbs less than the C63 Coupe, while adding plenty of extra power when compared to the C63 sedan.

Having just unveiled the new C63 AMG Coupe at the New York Auto Show, Mercedes has one more high-performance C-Class up its sleeve. Likely to debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show this fall, the Black Series version of the car will be even more extreme, upping horsepower north of the 500 mark.
