At the Mecum auction in Dallas, TX, a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible L88 went for a record-setting $3.2 million.

There were whispers of the Corvette Convertible before, but now Chevrolet has officially announced that the new Corvette Convertible will makes its world debut on March 5 at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

It was already rumored that the Chevy Corvette Convertible would make its first public appearance at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show, and now it has been confirmed. 

When the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in early January, one question still loomed at the end of the press conference: when is the convertible coming? Now, it is being reported that the drop-top version is set to debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

Hertz has expanded its Prestige and Adrenaline Collections, now offering the Cadillac CTS, Chevy Camaro SS Convertible and Corvette Convertible for rental in 2012.
