The 2014 Ford Edge Sport is under the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s microscope for a potential defect with its 22-inch wheels.

GM is mired in a recall debacle the likes of which this industry has never faced before. But things just keep getting worse for the Detroit-based automaker. Now they can’t find nearly 140,000 cars and trucks that are subject to their ignition-switch call-back.

Attention Volvo drivers, your shiny new 2014 model car or crossover may have an electrical glitch. The automaker is recalling nearly 8,000 vehicles to correct a computer-related problem.

A small portion of Chrysler’s one-size-fits-all Pentastar V6 engines are reported to have faulty cylinder heads, which are being replaced by the automaker under warranty. 

BMW has been charged with a U.S. civil penalty for a failure to report auto-safety defects and recalls in a timely manner for approximately 338,700 vehicles in 2010.

While we reported on the recall regarding the Chevrolet Cruze and its defective steering wheel issu e, we didn’t realize just how severe the problem was until we saw video of the defect, and the very real consequences it could pose.

General Motors will recall 2,100 Chevrolet Cruze sedans after a steering wheel came loose from the car’s steering column recently. General Motors claims that no injuries resulted from the problem, and a bolt that was not properly installed was the culprit.

Although the destroyed Chinese Lamborghini will forever linger in the minds of car enthusiasts bemused by the antics of spoiled owners, a Range Rover driver decided to take a less apoplectic approach and simply returned his Range Rover by towing it to the dealership with two donkeys.

A recall of more than 100,000 Toyota and Lexus vehicles this past week was originally known about in 2007, after complaints regarding the defective valve springs began to surface at that time.
