Honda President Commits to "Distinctive" and "Sporty" Vehicles
After having taken quite a beating with reviews of the new Civic, Honda has been on the offensive, promising updates while announcing its new “ Earth Dreams Technology” plan to reestablish itself as a fuel economy leader. With the debut of the EV-STER electric sports car concept and confirmation that a new NSX is on the horizon, company president Takanobu Ito is now going a step further, while explaining the faults of the past.

Honda EV-STER Won't Be an EV at All
After confirming that the EV-STER Concept was making its way into production, it appears now that Honda‘s concept may not be an electric vehicle at all. We already knew that Honda CEO Takanobu Ito already hinted at the possibility of both standard gasoline and electric powertrains for the EV-STER Concept, and now we have reason to believe that the gasoline variant may see the light of day before the electric one does.
Honda EV-STER Headed to Production
Honda recently unveiled their EV-STER Concept at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, showing off an all-electric sports car that seats two and is rear-wheel-drive. Now reports are coming in that Honda CEO Takanobu Ito has said that the roadster is headed to production and could be offered with both standard gasoline and electric powertrains.
