Ferrari Product Plan Revealed: 599 and Enzo Successors Due Out Next Year
Ferrari will unveil a slew of new products over the next two years, starting in about a month’s time at the Frankfurt Auto Show. First among the debuts is the 458 Spider, powered by the same 570-hp 4.5-liter V8 as the coupe, but featuring a retractable hard top. That car will then be followed by a 458 Scuderia mode in 2013. Inspired by motorsports, no details are yet available, but look for a slight bump in power and a more significant drop in weight. That same year Ferrari will look to update the California.
458 Italia so Awesome Scuderia Model Would Be Pointless Says Ferrari Boss
There will be no hard-core ‘Scuderia’ version of the 458 Italia says Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo, due mostly to the fact that the 458 is already so advanced and such an incredible performance machine. During a private press gathering in London last night, di Montezemolo commented that, “We will continue to produce one new model each year – but there will not be a 458 Scuderia.”
