After having to downgrade the fuel economy of the 2013 C-Max hybrid from 47 mpg to 43 mpg, Ford has announced that the 2014 C-Max Hybrid is receiving upgrades to improve the mpg rating. 

Ford has begun mailing checks to C-Max Hybrid owners as compensation for having revised the advertised fuel economy from 47 mpg to 43 mpg.

Ford has announced that it is voluntarily lowering fuel economy estimates for the 2013 C-Max Hybrid to 43 mpg combined from 47, and will be issuing compensation to current owners of the C-Max because of this change. 

A pair of California law firms are consolidating lawsuits against Ford, alleging that the American automaker has falsely marketed its MPG claims for its C-Max Hybrid and Fusion Hybrid vehicles.

Ford is facing a lawsuit that claims that the American company’s C-Max hybrid and Fusion hybrid fail to meet the stated fuel economy mark of 47 mpg combined.
