After having to downgrade the fuel economy of the 2013 C-Max hybrid from 47 mpg to 43 mpg, Ford has announced that the 2014 C-Max Hybrid is receiving upgrades to improve the mpg rating. 

Ford is recalling approximately 23,831 Focus Electric and C-Max models so that they make an audible door chime when the driver’s door is opened while the push-button start is engaged.

Ford has begun mailing checks to C-Max Hybrid owners as compensation for having revised the advertised fuel economy from 47 mpg to 43 mpg.
