Ford is issuing a recall for its Focus Electric model due to a potential loss of power to the wheels while in operation.

Ford is recalling approximately 23,831 Focus Electric and C-Max models so that they make an audible door chime when the driver’s door is opened while the push-button start is engaged.

By spring, Ford will have more than 900 dealers certified to sell its plug-in vehicles, or about a third of the American automaker’s dealers.
