Hyundai and Kia are being investigated by safety watchdog groups in the United States due to multiple reports of airbag failures in the Korean brands’ vehicles.

Hyundai is calling back roughly 978,000 Sonata sedans in the U.S. over an issue with the seat belt. 

Hyundai is calling back a number of 2010 to 2016 Genesis Coupes for an issue with the passenger seat air bag sensor. 

Nearly 205,000 Hyundai Elantras are being recalled because of a potential fault with their eclectically boosted power steering systems.

Hyundai has announced three new recall campaigns that affect roughly 420,000 vehicles, taking the total amount of Hyundai vehicles recalled this week up to 1.3 million in the U.S. 

Hyundai has issued out a recall for its 2007-2008 Entourage minivans for a faulty control arm.

Hyundai and Kia have issued the largest vehicle recall in South Korea since the current recall system was introduced there in 2003.

Two separate recalls have been issued by Hyundai, affecting 259,000 vehicles from various models in the Korean automaker’s lineup.
