Volkswagen showed off the I.D. Buzz Cargo at the L.A. Auto Show, and it turns out there’s a chance it could be sold in the North American market.

Volkswagen wants to reinvent local deliveries with its I.D. Buzz Cargo, an electric delivery van. First shown at a commercial vehicle expo in Hannover in September, the Buzz Cargo is making its U.S. debut at the L.A. Auto Show.

Fresh off a trademarking spree last week, Volkswagen is again calling dibs on a name relating to electric vehicles. The latest is “Elli” with a stylized lightning bolt next to it (pictured below).

We’ve long known that Volkswagen will produce electric vehicles in North America, but just where that production will take place remains unknown.

After months of speculation, rumors, and reports, VW has finally confirmed that it will produce the I.D. Buzz, its all-electric homage to the Microbus.

We’ve long known that VW planned on releasing more electric concepts than the three currently in existence and now, thanks to a leaked slide from a presentation, we have a better idea of what they will be.
