Cadillac’s future will include more crossovers under recently-appointed Cadillac boss Johan de Nysschen.

There’s plenty on the way from Cadillac, including a new flagship model based on its Omega platform, but the American automaker is also working on a large crossover model using an upgraded version of its Lambda platform.

General Motors will look to expand its luxury crossover offerings by introducing a 7-seater Cadillac crossover based on the company’s Lambda platform. GM already offers this platform in the rest of its brands with the Chevy Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.

Hyundai‘s new Accent was the star of the companies exhibit at this year’s Beijing Auto Show, but the debut of two new engines and a new automatic transmission will have broader implications for the rest of the company’s lineup.
