Summer time is around the corner and MINI is preparing its new drop top model for cruising in the sunshine. 

The new MINI convertible is getting ready for its debut.

It’s hard to beat the noises a well-designed, high-performance engine makes; experiencing this is of life’s great pleasures, especially when it isn’t adulterated by restrictive exhaust systems or synthesized bullshit piped through a vehicle’s speakers.

Strange as it may seem, MINI’s latest marketing ploy involves driving a car on water. Well, sort of.

MINI has announced its changes to its 2013 model year lineup, most noticeably with Bluetooth coming standard on every model, which was originally a $500 option.

Another week, another special edition announcement from British automaker, MINI. This time around it’s the MINI Convertible Highgate, a special edition variant of their soft-top, four-seater named after one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in London.

To celebrate the 2 millionth MINI to roll off their assembly line, MINI has decided to turn it into a special edition convertible and offer it up as a prize to their fans on Facebook. From now until September 30th, 2011, MINI fans have the opportunity to upload their profile photo to MINI’s 2 Million Faces page in order to automatically be entered into a drawing for the 2 millionth MINI giveaway.

In continuing their special edition Coopers named after London boroughs, districts, streets and landmarks, MINI has announced the Soho Edition available to the Mini Cooper Hatch and Convertible and the Cooper D Hatch and Convertible.

If you’re going to hit the red carpet, you’d better be dressed by a designer. And not just any designer will do – it has to be household names. It’s a good thing MINI kept this in mind as it strutted its stuff down the red carpet in Vienna.
