Rumor has is that McLaren’s new supercar will make around 1,000 hp, and before it debuts in the flesh at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the company has dropped a new video teaser showing off some of the car’s curves. 

With the 2012 Paris Motor Show around the corner, rumors of the McLaren P12 supercar’s specifications are coming out of the woodwork. The spiritual successor to the McLaren F1 is scheduled to make its official debut at the show, and could be sporting 963-hp.

Given the recent success of the McLaren MP4-12C model, the world has been anxiously awaiting the spiritual successor to the famous McLaren F1. While we’ll have to wait until the 2012 Paris Motor Show for all the full details, the British automaker has revealed a small glimpse of what to expect from its P12 supercar concept.

When the McLaren MP4-12C debuted, it was seen as a disappointment by many. Certainly the car’s performance was amazing, but not the Bugatti-beating numbers some had expected. That’s because it was never built as a Veyron rival but rather a Ferrari 458 killer. A proper successor to the McLaren F1 would come, however, and according to a new report by CAR Magazine, it will launch some time this year.
