Shaping and sculpting sheet metal into something both beautiful and functional is an intensive undertaking that automakers spend thousands of hours and millions of dollars on. And to bring these cars justice, photographers and videographers spend hundreds of hours capturing just the right angle, and finding that one magical location.

Revealed at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the 2013 Mercedes A-Class has now been detailed by the company on camera, exposing all of the tech and interior features. 

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class bowed at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show with a refreshed modern style, only this time in a small package.

Luxury styling, AMG performance and compact car sensibility will all be rolled into one package as the Mercedes-Benz A25 AMG, something that has the breadth of enthusiasts excited. Rumored to be in the works, these spy photos are the first confirmation that such a car is being prepped for launch.

The A25 AMG is Mercedes-Benz‘s take on a sport tuned version of the A-Class hot hatch, and more details concerning the makeup of the car are out.

The new Mercedes-Benz A Class is set to be officially uncovered at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show next week. Nevertheless, another photo has floated its way into our midst, this time from a Hungarian automotive website. 

Mercedes-Benz may have overestimated its latest commercial shoot’s seclusion and the public’s pension for sharing videos online.

Our intrepid spy photographers are at it again, catching the Mercedes-Benz A-Class undergoing winter testing in an undisclosed Northern country.

A while back we revealed that Infiniti‘s working on a new entry-level, FWD compact that would be based on Mercedes-Benz‘s A-Class platform. We now have news that Canadian-Austrian auto supplier Magna Steyr will be in charge of developing the entry-level model for Infiniti.

Despite a fairly decent reception from attendees at the 81st annual Geneva Motor Show last year, Infiniti has remained tight lipped about the chances of its Etherea concept (shown above) of entering production.

Infiniti‘s Etherea Concept, shown off earlier this year at Geneva, may become a reality thanks to its partnership with Mercedes-Benz. Car and Driver has reports that Infiniti will be using Mercedes-Benz’s A-Class platform to build their own entry-level luxury hatchback, leading to speculation that a production model based on the Etherea Concept is on Infiniti’s to-do list.

The production-ready version of the Baby Benz has been rendered via patent drawings, and if you squint really hard, it kind of, sort of looks like the A-Class Concept shown at New York and Shanghai.

Mercedes-Benz will launch a new front-drive model for the United States market, aimed at capturing sales from a younger demographic, as the company seeks to stay competitive with rivals BMW and Audi.

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled their A-Class E-Cell electric car, with an extremely limited production run of 500 units. Available only to customers in Germany, France and the Netherlands, buyers will be able to lease the cars only, but terms have not been disclosed.

While the gasoline powered A-Class has always been a bit of a slowpoke, the electric version will hit 60 mph in just 5.5 seconds, giving it straightline acceleration on par with some high-end sports cars. The electric motor itself is good for 95 horsepower and 214 lb-ft of torque, with a 124 mile range and a 93 mph top speed.
