A hot batch of photos and a detailed video of the Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe (CSC) didn’t take long to surface after the initial images leaked. 

Mercedes briefly flashed some of the car’s interior last week in a video talking about style and craftsmanship. Now we have a full video and a host of pictures to show you what the car looks like. More importantly, it gives us a strong indication of what the CLC or the CLA will look like at the 2013 debut.

A seemingly pointless video released on the official Mercedes-Benz YouTube channel might not be so irrelevant after all. The video features fashion critic Luke Leitch commenting on design and style… the suit making the man and all that.

There are plenty of shady shots and clips of materials being cut and sewn. Most are traditional Mercedes-Benz stuff and then, at the every end, there’s a quick shot (above) of some rather wild black Alcantara with neon green piling and stitching.

The video comes our way just ahead of an important date, the start of this year’s Avant/Garde Diaries event in Los Angeles, which according to Mercedes will host, “the artistic staging of the Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupe.” Presumably, that coupe is the baby CLS, known as the Mercedes CLA (or CLC). And possibly (yes, we’re working with a lot of assumptions here), that black and neon interior is that of the CLA/CLC.

With the event set to begin April 20th and run until May 6th, look for a reveal of something provocatively new from Mercedes soon.

Earlier this year we spotted spy photos of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLC, and now we have a good reason to believe that it’ll make its worldwide unveiling in Los Angeles.

Several spy shots of the upcoming Mercedes CLC sedan have been snapped during the car’s cold weather testing. Expected to be styled as a baby CLS, this compact sedan will be based on the same platform as the upcoming A-Class and B-Class models, meaning it will be a size down from the brand’s C-Class offering.

However, the Europeans have always had a thing for wagons, especially fast ones, and have never stopped making them, although not many on this side of the Atlantic buy them.

As previously announced, Mercedes-Benz will bring a production version of the A-Class Concept to market in North America in the near future, but it won’t be alone. Joining the premium hatchback will be three more models, all of which will be priced at or below the $30,000 mark. Currently the cheapest model offered in the Mercedes lineup is the C300 Sport Sedan at $33,900.

In the past, if you wanted a hopped-up version of an A-Class Mercedes you’d have to talk to one of the many German tuners, like Brabus. But according to a new report Mercedes will develop its own high-performance version of the upcoming A-Class under the AMG brand. Targeting the Volkswagen Golf R, this new model is part of a larger plan by Mercedes to c hallenge VW’s dominance in the lower end of the segment, with several new A and B-Class models including hatchbacks, sedans and even a possible compact or sub-compact crossover.
