As if McLaren isn’t keeping things exciting enough, the British automaker is planning three additional models once its P13 and P1 GTR hit the market.

McLaren has confirmed two of the rumored vehicles that it’s working on.

Like other supercars, McLarens are rarer than Sasquatch-fur coats. It’s hard enough to steal a glimpse of one at an auto show, but the chances of seeing one on the street are about as good as commuting to work on the back of a Pegasus.

Like a pissed-off supermodel, the McLaren P1 manages to look both beautiful and mean. 

The world’s first-ever vehicle designed by Ferdinand Porsche is a far cry from the powerful sports cars the brand is known for.

Porsche wowed the automotive world last September when its said said the 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid supercar lapped the Nurburgring in six minutes and 57 seconds. 

Earlier in September, rumor had it that the McLaren P1 had lapped Nürburgring in 7:04. Apparently that wasn’t fast enough for the British automaker.

Shocking; that’s probably the best and most pun-laden way to describe McLaren’s new supercar.

When it comes to supercars the upcoming McLaren P1 will be tough to beat… unless you’re an engineer at the company. In that case it should be “beat up” because the car was photographed undergoing durability testing in the desert.

McLaren wants its P1 to run a Nürburgring lap time of under seven minutes, so perhaps it’s not a surprise that the British automaker won’t confirm the rumors of a 7:04 time.

Considering the McLaren P1 supercar has a powerplant derived from what lurks in the MP4-12C, it’s no surprise that the British automaker is injecting even more power to its 12C model.
