The chassis and powertrain package currently serving in the Porsche Panamera and Panamera Sport Turismo may spawn a two-door coupe model, according to a new report.

Porsche will build a front-engine coupe based on the Panamera (pictured) in the future, likely before 2018 which is the brand’s target to have at least four new vehicles on the market.

The Prince of Monaco, Albert II, is deciding to reorganize the car collection his late father so painstakingly assembled and will begin by auctioning off 38 of them with no reserve.

This year has been rough for Porsche designers. Last month Ferdinand Porsche, designer of the 911, passed away; and now Tony Lapine (second from left), former chief designer at Porsche passed away at the age of 81 on Sunday, April 29.

Because the stoned-frog Panamera just won’t cut it, Porsche is toying with the idea of a grand touring coupe again—and they’re planning to reintroduce a familiar badge in the works.

Fans of the 928, your time has come: Porsche is readying a successor to the legendary grand tourer, and this time it will be a coupe with a V8 engine. Sound familiar, 928 masochists?
