Referred to as the RAV4-EV, this vehicle is the first product to come from the tie-up with American electric sports car maker Tesla. Both Toyota and Tesla have joined forces in a larger plan that will see Toyota invest in the electric sports car maker, helping it bring its electric luxury sedan to market, while Toyota gains battery technology in a bid to compete with new electric cars from Nissan and Chevy.
