Chrysler has announced a recall of nearly 900,000 SUVs in order to better protect each vehicle’s brake booster from corrosion.

Lincoln has issued a recall for the MKZ Hybrid due to a transmission fault that could cause the car to roll away when it is parked.

Toyota has announced a recall of 87,000 Prius and Lexus HS250h models from the 2010 model year.

Japan’s three largest automakers are announcing related recalls totaling 3. 4 million cars over faulty airbags supplied by Takata Corp.

Honda has announced a recall of roughly 250,000 vehicles globally for an electronics glitch that could cause the brakes to be applied even when the the pedal has not been pressed.

Ford has announced a recall affecting roughly 230,000 minivans dating back to 2004.

Toyota has announced a major recall to replace the driver’s side power window master switch, affecting 7.4 million cars globally, including 2.5 million in the United States.

Over 249,000 SUVs are being recalled for a possible fire risk with the window and door lock switches for vehicles sold or registered in 20 states and Washington, D.C. where salt and other chemicals are used to clear roads in the winter.

Ford is recalling over 10,000 2013 Escapes due to mispositioned carpet padding that could lead to interference when braking.

Adding to an already-existant recall, the number of Jeep Liberty SUVs affected is climbing to almost 347,000 because of a problem with the lower control arms in the rear suspension.

Honda is issuing a voluntary recall today for around 554,000 CR-V’s and Pilot SUVs.  The recall affects model-year 2002-2004 CR-V‘s and 2003 Pilots (shown above).

Honda is voluntarily recalling 1,316 CR-V’s because it suspects that the weld that they used to hold the right front lower control arm was improper. With time, that weld can break which potentially can lead to an accident.
