Roush Performance has unveiled the next generation of high-performance truck technology.

Roush is to Ford what steroids are to athletics. While their modified vehicles are certainly less than common on the road, we usually see them materialize as Mustangs. That wont be true this time.

To say that Ford put a focus on the Focus would be an understatement at this year’s SEMA Show. Nine different, fully customized Focuses were shown off in the Ford booth, with several of them part of a spectator voting competition. Projects ranged from mild to wild, with a plethora of colors being splashed on each creation.

Packing 540-hp and 465 lb-ft of torque, Roush’s RS3 Hyper-Series Mustang features a 50-state legal TVS 2.3L Roushcharger, Roush-calibrated suspension, and a Roush-tuned exhaust system. The limited edition RS3 Mustang has been named the Hyper-Series, and Roush makes Ford‘s top sports car a true performance enthusiast’s dream.

For those satisfied with the performance from Ford‘s Mustang but looking for something more stylish, Roush Performance’s 2012 Ford Mustang Stage 2 is made for you. Leaving the engine untouched, Roush Performance’s Stage 2 Mustang features both their styling and suspension packages, with a huge collection of optional upgrades to make your Mustang hug those corners tighter while also looking better.

We’ll admit this is a little odd, but we can also understand where Roush is coming from. The Mustang-tuner’s 2011 Roush Sport Mustang package has been announced and it doesn’t pack the performance we expect. In fact, it doesn’t really pack any performance. Instead, for $4,600, Roush will outfit your 2011 Mustang with a sportier appearance.
