Yakima debuted their new WHISPBAR roof rack system at the 2011 SEMA Show last week, and AutoGuide got an exclusive look at their new portable wind tunnel, which Yakima brought along to SEMA to showcase the reduction in wind noise that their new WHISPBAR can bring.

AutoGuide got a demo of the wind tunnel itself and we had the chance to take some video as well. Check it out after the jump.

High End Performance is known around the nation for building some of the world’s top show cars while running a shop that supplies some of the rarest and highest quality parts around. But what sets them apart from the crowd is their custom, hand-crafted wide body kits that can see on many of their show cars. This matte orange Nissan GTR was spotted in the Eneos booth, and is arguably the best creation to come out of High End to date.

America’s most popular vehicle hasn’t gone unnoticed at the 2011 SEMA show, as Ford brought out a few customized concepts showing what tuners can do with the Ford F-Series pickup trucks.

Looking rather lonely and out of place in Mopar’s massive SEMA booth was Mopar Underground’s Fiat 500 Carbon. Amidst all the heavy American muscle was this customized Italian compact featuring an Anodized Azzurro exterior with blackened accents. Peering behind each 17×7-inch Dark Hyper Black wheel were bright red calipers, giving a solid contrast to the matte blue finish.

Chevrolet revealed their COPO Camaro, Hot Wheels Camaro and a special Chevelle yesterday and AutoGuide was on hand for the reveal at the Wynn hotel.

The Ford Fiesta B-Spec is intended to be Ford’s offering for the newly created B-Spec racing class, which allows racers a (relatively) affordable way to go road racing in production cars.

Following our coverage of the Chevrolet Sonic Ricky Carmichael Concept and the Chevrolet Sonic Super 4 Concept, AutoGuide got to sit down with both Ricky Carmichael and John Buttermore, the men behind the two vehicles.

Carmichael and Buttermore were kind enough to walk us through the two cars and explained the philosophies behind the two very different Sonics. Check out the videos after the jump.

Vintage car lovers who live in fear of terminal oxidization now have a last resort in the fight against rust. Ford displayed a ’65 Mustang body shell at the 2011 SEMA Show that was stamped from entirely new steel that OE supplier Dynacorn International (producer of bodyshells for Ford) says is far superior to the steel used on the original cars.

While AutoGuide got its first glimpse of the Ford Focus ST at the 2010 Paris Auto Show last September, this was our first chance to take a good look at the car without security guards and PR staff circling like birds of prey.

Chevrolet hosted a special event at the Wynn in Las Vegas to showcase three new muscle cars, as well as the special edition Sonics already brought to you by AutoGuide.

Chevrolet unveiled the first of what will surely be many concept cars based on their new Sonic compact car, with a lifestyle/tuner car designed with input by Motocross legend and NASCAR driver Ricky Carmichael, and a ready-to-go racer intended for SCCA competition.

At least four different companies will be bringing their vision of the ultimate custom Ford Mustang to this year’s SEMA Show. Ford released some info and images of four Mustang projects that will be showcased in the Blue Oval booth this year, but our sources say that these won’t be the only ones. Nonetheless, the four that Ford deemed worthy of revealing to the public are from Forgiato Wheels, Creations n’ Chrome, MRT Performance and H&R Springs.

Toyota has teamed up with DC Shoes and West Coast Customs to build a one-of-a-kind Ultimate Motocross Truck, set to debut at this year’s SEMA Show. Based on a Toyota Tundra full-size pickup, the build team used feedback from various Motocross athletes to help create a truck that every motocross rider needs to make an event trip easier.

While it may seem that most of Chevrolet’s attention is on their Camaro model for this year’s SEMA Show, they did announce a pair of Corvettes that will be shown off on the show floor.

Subaru of America will be showing off several of their record setting race cars alongside custom Subaru Performance Tuning models at this year’s SEMA Show. Also at the Subaru booth this year will be the Isle of Man record setting WRX STI making its US debut alongside David Higgins’ 2011 Rally America Champion WRX STI.
