It’s no secret that the Chevrolet SS won’t be produced once Holden shutters domestic production in 2017, but will it have a successor?

Somehow, Nissan manages to continue improving its venerable GT-R sports car.

The Chevrolet SS is now available with a six-speed manual transmission.

Rumored since the Chevrolet SS debuted, two much needed features will be heading to the sports sedan’s equipment list for 2015.

So much for more recalls from GM being just a possibility. The American automaker has announced four more recalls that affects 428,211 vehicles in the U.S.

Vehicle Overview

In 2009 Chevrolet resurrected the Camaro nameplate. Using a mix of retro inspired style and futuristic design elements, the reborn Camaro commanded road presence and has become a sales success.

The large, rear-wheel-drive sedan is a uniquely American phenomenon. Like bison, they used to roam free across the continent in an enormous herd that couldn’t be numbered, not even with an industrial-size abacus. But just like their furry, hoofed counterparts these cars have all but disappeared, victims of that relentless and unstoppable force called progress.

I am a bit of a Camaro guy. As the previous owner of a 1996 Camaro, I still have visions of once again owning a Chevrolet pony car.

This past week, General Motors showed off a customized version of its Chevrolet SS model at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, hinting that high-performance variants of its big rear-wheel drive sedan are a possibility.

Chevrolet will have plenty to show off at the 2013 SEMA Show, one of which is the Jeff Gordon SS Performance sedan concept, which was unveiled the night before the show officially kicks off.

Production of the Holden Commodore-based Chevrolet SS began last month, but the production run could be interrupted soon.
