2012 Lincoln MKT EcoBoost Gets $3,000 Price Drop

For 2012, Lincoln has lowered the price of its not-so-successful EcoBoost MKT three-row crossover by $3,000. There are no equipment of styling changes for this model year, but Lincoln is hoping the lower price will make the car more desirable to consumers. For 2012, the MKT will no longer have the all-wheel drive model with the naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6. Instead, the AWD model with the 355-hp 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 will cost $46,295 with the price reduction.

Vilner Refines Infiniti's EX37 And FX37 Interiors

It looks as if Vilner had a light bulb go off recently, discovering that there’s a market for custom luxury interiors for various vehicles. Mercedes-Benz GLS Takes On BMW X6

Mercedes-Benz is planning to take on the BMW X6 with it’s own sporty SUV called the GLS. The GLS is scheduled for launch in 2014, and will be a new four-seater built around the same unibody platform that makes up the third-generation M-class (shown above) and the latest Jeep Grand Cherokee. Porsche Cayenne-Based Lamborghini SUV Rumors Surface… Again

Lamborghini and Porsche are allegedly teaming up to build Lambo a 4×4 SUV. Even though the two car brands produce very different sports cars at the opposite end of the spectrum, Porsche has agreed to lend its existing expertise to the Italian automaker to produce a SUV. This is not Lamborghini’s first time building a 4×4 however. The automaker built a series of 4x4s for military use, that were named the Cheetah, the LM001 and the LM002 (aka Rambo Lambo) during the late seventies and  eighties.

What Percentage Of Your Car Was Made In America? [Video]

Are you curious to know how much of your car is made in America? Well if you are, Diane Sawyer takes a look into the automotive manufacturing business. ABC World News lauched “Made in American Summer” which focuses on American manufacturing, the economy and how ordinary Americans can help create more jobs in their country.

ABC worked with the Stewart family of Hillsdale, N.J during their time shopping for a new car. The Stewart’s compare a Ford Escape and a Toyota Camry and ABC News tries to figure out which car best supports US manufacturing.

Shockingly, the Camry is 80% American made, while the Escape is 65%. The Ford created 13 assembly line jobs for every 100 cars sold while the Camry provided almost 20.
