Debuting four years ago as the Mission E concept, Porsche has today revealed its first fully-electric production car, the Taycan. The numbers do not disappoint.

It’s taken a lot of effort for Porsche to develop its first all-electric model. And so it’s showing off what the engineers have accomplished. Slowly. In a trickle. Over many days. The latest is another feat of racecraft. The Taycan has now set a record for fastest four-door EV on the Nurburgring.

With the highly anticipated reveal of the Taycan on September 4th, Porsche invited us to their North American headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia to learn all about it and even experience its awesome performance.

The high-performance version of the upcoming Porsche Taycan electric sedan will be called the Taycan Turbo, it has been revealed.

Preorders for the all-electric  Porsche Taycan are looking strong.

By 2027, nearly every vehicle Porsche makes will be fully electric – except for the performance-focused 911.

The Porsche Taycan name has been given to the production version of the Mission E electric sedan.
