After auctioning off the first gold Nissan GT-R for $193,000 with the proceeds benefitting Usain Bolt’s charity, the Japanese automaker has handed the keys to a brand new 2014 Nissan GT-R for Mr. Bolt to enjoy himself.

Capping off  the Nissan booth at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, Nissan “director of excitement” Usain Bolt’s gold GT-R sat almost unnoticed.

An online auction for a one-off ‘Bolt Gold’ Nissan GT-R has finished, and the car along with some singed memorabilia from the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, fetched $193,191. 

A special 2014 Nissan GT-R painted “Bolt Gold” is being auctioned off to benefit the Usain Bolt Foundation.

Nissan announced a partnership in June with Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt –  the world’s fastest man. 

Three time Olympic Gold Medal sprinter Usain Bolt and Nissan Motor Co. have joined forces for a new marketing campaign. Dubbed “WHAT IF” the campaign is designed to tantalize the senses, highlighting Nissan’s vehicles and technologies designed to “excite,” such as the GT-R supercar.
