Costco has teamed up with GMC to offer one of the most unironic on-the-nose deals.

From now until January 2, 2025, Costco members can score a $1,000 discount on the Hummer EV Pickup or SUV, on top of any other available incentives. Starting at $86,645—and reaching well into six figures with mild optioning—the $1000 discount is kind of hilarious relative to Hummer's MSRP, but it could make a difference to shoppers who are struggling to find a dealer who will sell them a Hummer without the hefty markup that seems to plague enthusiast vehicles.

Historically, Hummers have been symbols of over-the-top, gas-guzzling power—and they still are—the new all-electric Hummer EV models have simply moved on from the ostentatious consumption of dead dinosaurs to mainlining charged particles. In case you forgot, the GMC Hummer EV offers up to 1,000 horsepower on tap in range-topping trim.

Despite the Hummer EV’s new powertrain and tech-focused capabilities, it's still a behemoth both in size and spirit, making it all the more hilarious shopping for one at Costco, along with jumbo rolls of toilet paper, a club pack of steaks, and Kirkland golf balls.

To qualify for the discount, Costco members must first register online and obtain a certificate, which they can then bring to a participating GMC dealer. It’s a bit more involved than your typical car-buying experience, but all it takes is a few clicks.

Costco offers deals on several all-electric models like the Cadillac LYRIQ, Chevy Blazer, and Equinox EVs, along with the Polestar 2, and the Volvo C40 and XC40 Recharge models.
