V6 Jeep Wrangler Goes Manual Only Amid Other Changes

This is what "active cabin ventilation" used to mean

Shockingly, Jeep has doubled down on its 6-speed manual, which is now the sole transmission option for the automaker’s long-running V6 engine.

Jeep drops the automatic for the 3.6-liter engine amid broader 2025 model year changes, and if you want an auto, you’ll now need to opt for the 2.0-liter turbo-four or the hybrid 4xe. Well, there’s also the Wrangler 392 Final Edition, though that is the one Wrangler that should definitely have a manual.

The other big news for 2025 is something that only the Jeep Wrangler could go decades without having: standard power locks and windows for the whole lineup.

Other updates include a new green called “41,” and a new Active Cabin Ventilation feature. It is what it sounds like, letting you cool the cabin from a mobile app before getting in. Or, you could, y’know, take the doors off — iTs a JeEp ThInG.

Pricing isn’t out yet, but expect a minimal increase given the changes.
