- 8-year/80,000-mile federal emission defect and performance warranty
- 7-year/70,000-mile California emissions control system warranty
Hyundai electric and hybrid vehicles also come with the following warranties:
- Lifetime hybrid/electric battery warranty (for 2012 to 2019 models)
- 10-year/100,000-mile hybrid system components warranty
These warranties come standard with all new Hyundai vehicles at no additional cost. If a covered component is damaged during the coverage period, Hyundai will cover all labor and repair costs. All you’re expected to pay is the deductible.
Hyundai Warranty Transfer
If a Hyundai vehicle is sold during the original 10-year powertrain coverage period, the new owner will receive protection for the remainder of the coverage period or for 5 years/60,000 miles—whichever comes first. This means that if you transfer coverage with three years remaining, the new owner will have three years of Hyundai used car warranty coverage. If you transfer coverage while eight years remain, the new owner will only have five years of coverage.
The Hyundai lifetime hybrid/electric battery warranty is reduced to 10 years/100,000 miles upon transfer.
What Does a Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned Warranty Cover?
Certified pre-owned (CPO) Hyundais are protected by the remainder of Hyundai’s new vehicle limited factory warranty. This means that the Hyundai certified pre-owned warranty covers hundreds of components throughout the vehicle.
If you have a CPO Hyundai newer than five model years old and with fewer than 60,000 miles, you have the following Hyundai used car warranties:
