There are small cars and then there are smaller cars. Recently, Volkswagen‘s Brazilian operation, decided to put together a scaled down prototype of its best-selling Gol hatchback.

Dubbed the Mini-Gol, it’s approximately 30 percent smaller than the regular car and designed to accommodate people under 5ft tall.

Under the hood of this 88.5-inch long creation is a 5.5 horsepower gasoline engine, that can deliver a top speed of up 17 mph – not unlike some lawnmowers. VW Brasil has built just two of these Mini-Gols, one that’s currently at the Parque de Ocio in Santa Catarina, while the other is currently touring the show circuit.
