Jaguar announced some time ago that the XKR-S would likely be getting some enhancement, and spy photos are now in of the track focused Jag testing on the Nürburgring.

Meant to compete with the Black Series AMG cars, this XKR-S will get upgrades tailored for handling high-speeds and making tight turns. A massive rear wing is the most obvious new feature, but the car is also sporting a lower front spoiler, canards mounted on the sides of the front end and a larger hood with more air intakes. The lack of rear bucket seats also adds to the race oriented package.

Already running a 5.0-liter V8 that makes 550 hp, we can expect a slight power boost, tipped by the larger engine bay and added air intakes, needed to facilitate the extra horses by keeping the engine cool.

The car will likely bow at the Paris Auto Show in September.
