Lamborghini has been tight-lipped about what it is bringing to the 2012 Paris Motor Show, but today it broke the silence by teasing a new concept car called the Nova.

With a complete redesign of the Gallardo coming in 2014, this is probably a final send-off special edition for the Italian supercar. Lamborghini is known for offering special editions for each model it builds. For example, the Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale.

It could also be the first showing of the Gallardo’s successor. With no major changes coming to car since 2003, it is definitely time for a new look, and Lambo has already commented that the next Gallardo will be a radical departure from the current design.

Rumor has it that the next Gallardo will be called the Cabrera, contrary to the video which is teasing the Nova, which further encourages the notion that this is a special edition and not an all-new car.
