Owners of the 2011 and 2012 MINI Countryman with a manual transmission have found the factory clutch engagement point bothersome and now the British automaker is putting in a fix for those owners.

Any MINI Countryman rolling off the lot post November 2012 has received a software update and new clutch-facing material to improve the feeling of the clutch engagement, according to the automaker. As for current owners who may not be thrilled with how the Countryman’s clutch engages, it’s been recommended that they contact their local MINI dealership and see if the automaker is willing to handle the issue at hand.
