Now that Jaguar has introduced its new F-Type sports car model, the XK will be evolving for its next-generation iteration, potentially growing in size and focusing on a luxury grand touring car role.

Though no final decision has been made yet on the next-generation XK, design director Ian Callum said that the British automaker is “going through a lot of discussion” on how the XK will change now that the F-Type serves the role of sports coupe for the brand.

Another decision Jaguar is making is whether the XK will remain as a two-plus-two or becomes a two-plus-more-than-two. And while the XK will be making a shift within the market, the XJ sedan will remain as it is for its next iteration.
