Toyota to Discuss Autonomous Vehicles at 2013 CES

Toyota will reveal an advanced active safety research vehicle at the upcoming 2013 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

The Japanese automaker will focus on its autonomous technologies at the large annual tech expo with its press conference kicking off on January 7. Lexus Group Vice President and General Manager Mark Templin will discuss the automaker’s North American-based program on autonomous technologies and high-level driver assistance systems in regards to Toyota’s Integrated Safety Management Concept.

The agenda will include a discussion on the current state of Toyota’s Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) research and development including its vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications technology. Lexus will also have its 2013 LS model on display at the 2013 CES.
