As expected, Aston Martin has released photos of its all-new 2014 Rapide S model, revealing the facelifted sedan featuring a larger grille, different lower intake, and new front bumper.

With Aston’s sedan first making it to market in 2010, the Rapide S will replace the Rapide and is not an additional model in the lineup. It’ll be powered by a 5.9-liter V12 with 550 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque – an increase from the previous generation’s 470 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. That’ll be good enough to help it accelerate to 60 mph 0.4 seconds faster than the old Rapide.

Upgrades to the Rapide S also include the British automaker’s Adaptive Damping System that is also found in the new Vanquish and DB9 models. In the rear, Aston Martin tweaked the spoiler design to help improve aerodynamics at high speeds.

The 2014 Rapide S will be heading to North American dealerships in mid-2013 and will have an estimated MSRP of around $200,000, although pricing is still unconfirmed.
