BMW Selling Husqvarna Motorcycles Sub-Brand

BMW is selling off its Husqvarna motorcycles sub-brand as it realigns its BMW Motorrad business.

Austrian company Pierer Industries will by the buyer and the sale is subject to approval by anti-trust authorities. BMW Motorrad is looking to expand its product offering and the focus of its realignment will be on urban mobility and e-mobility.

According to a release by the German automaker, the BMW Group will concentrate on expanding and utilizing the resources of the BMW Motorrad brand as a result of restructuring the segment.

Both parties involved in the sale have agreed to not disclose the purchase price of Husqvarna.
