Toyota GT86 Sedan Rumors Denied

Reports of a GT86 sedan debuting at the Dubai Motor Show are “just a rumor” Toyota has confirmed.

News of the car’s sudden arrival hit over the weekend with a post on the Dubai Motor Show’s official Facebook page.

Sadly, the show (which opens today) will come and go with no such vehicle. “We absolutely have no plans for a sedan concept at the Dubai Motor Show,” said Toyota Europe PR rep Danny Chen.

Careful to pick his words, Chen did not deny the existence or plans to debut a four-door GT86 some day, but most certainly not at the Dubai show. That leaves open the possibility that rumors of a sedan version of the car could come true.
