According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), high ambient temperatures and humidity can cause the wiper motor brushes to jam and as a result, the wiper motor stops functioning. So far, nine reports of wiper motor failures have been reported in the U.S. including eight in Miami and one in Tampa. Affected owners will be notified immediately as the recall has begun and dealerships will replace the faulty wiper motor for free.
